::RABBIT HOLE is rather stellar. Subtly brings the audience to an understanding of something we can/will/should never truly understand.::

Great film. Not the sob fest you might think it is. The Oscar should belong to Kidman. Seriously.

::There are many moments in BLACK SWAN that verify the size of Aronofsky’s balls. Spoiler: they’re huge.::

::There are many moments I love in WELCOME TO THE RILEYS but several character decisions & plot points are downright asinine.::

I didn’t buy many of the choices the characters made that led to all these scenes that I loved. So, it didn’t really connect with me as a whole. Too bad, because there’s some strong stuff here that’s just dangling out there. Still think Kristen Stewart’s best role was in ADVENTURELAND.

::THE SPIRIT MOLECULE is like a real life FROM BEYOND w/ less goo. Fascinating.::

Thought this documentary had a great balance between science and spirituality. Could have used more Joe Rogan, but I say that about every movie.

HMN Halloween Edition. NIGHT OF THE DEMONS provided a few laughs, an updated boob gag, and a bloated Edward Furlong who looked like he had no idea he was in a movie. It’s not a good movie, though, and requires a bit too much booze to make it enjoyable. Not recommended.

A decent crime-thriller with some great shootouts. Renner is incredible (as expected). John Hamm should stick to TV. I would actually like to see more from Affleck behind the camera. A big improvement over GONE BABY GONE.

Aging CIA agents called into action when someone begins offing other ex-operatives. A simple plot combined with some fun action, actors (Willis, Freeman, Malkovich, Mirrin) that are obviously having fun and Mary-Louise Parker looking fantastic makes for a fun 90 minutes… RED goes on for 111, though. So, yeah, there’s a bit of fat that could be trimmed here and the finale isn’t as exciting as it should be, but those turn out to be minor gripes when this happens to be one of the best summer movies… even though it was robbed of summer status and dumped in October. If you’re looking for fun in the vein of THE LOSERS but, like, way better – this is worth your time.

::I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE continues to prove exploitation films can’t be remade. Or even made. They are a product of a time long gone.::
